Being the eldest of 3 born, Daniel has been through plenty of loss of life and has come to be motivated from those events. Daniel sees the cracks in society from the point as where he grew up, and feels complete when he shows how you can learn from that, like he did. Daniel said his toughest loss to date "would definitely be my grandpa-who all of us grandkids called "Papa." He used this loss and his troubles with being within the juvenile incarceration system, to push forwards.
